In short: Remote PC does not sell personal information, show advertising, or use an advertising identifier. Pairing credentials and remote-control activity stay on your devices. Limited account and subscription information is stored securely to provide sign-in and Pro access.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Remote PC mobile application and related services (collectively, “Remote PC”). By using Remote PC, you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Information we process
- Google account information: when you choose Google Sign-In, we receive your Firebase user identifier, display name, email address, and profile-photo URL.
- Account metadata: account creation and last sign-in timestamps, platform, app version, and build number.
- Subscription information: product identifier, subscription status and expiry, and verification timestamps. A Google Play purchase token is sent securely to our verification service; we retain a cryptographic hash to prevent one purchase being claimed by multiple accounts.
- Device permissions: camera access is used only when you choose to scan a pairing QR code. Remote PC does not upload or retain camera images.
- Local app information: trusted-PC credentials, device identifiers, custom controls, and pairing settings are stored on your device, including through protected device storage where supported.
3. Remote sessions and files
Remote-control commands, screen content, audio, and transferred files are exchanged between your phone and the PC you connect to. They are not stored in your Firebase cloud profile. Files received temporarily by the app remain on the phone until you save or discard them.
4. How we use information
We use information to authenticate your account, synchronize basic account details, restore and verify Pro access, prevent purchase misuse, operate requested pairing features, maintain security, and respond to support requests.
5. Service providers
Remote PC uses Google services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, and Google Play Billing. Google processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. Payment credentials are handled by Google Play and are not provided to Remote PC.
6. Sharing and selling
We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose limited information to service providers only as needed to operate the services described above, comply with law, protect users, or prevent fraud and abuse.
7. Data retention and deletion
Cloud profile and entitlement information is retained while your account is active or as needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and service operation. You can request account deletion from the app’s account and privacy controls. Deletion removes the Remote PC cloud profile and signs the account out; Google Play purchase records remain governed by Google Play. Local paired-PC information can be removed from your device through the app or by clearing app data.
8. Security
We use access controls, encrypted network transport, protected device storage, server-side purchase verification, and restricted database rules. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. Children
Remote PC is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children.
10. International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than your own through our service providers. Those locations may have different data-protection laws.
11. Your choices
You may use local features without signing in, decline optional camera access, sign out, restore eligible purchases, remove trusted PCs, or request account deletion. Device permissions can also be changed in Android settings.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Remote PC changes. The latest version will remain available at this URL with a revised effective date.
